The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office announced the passing of Deputy Travis Hughey on February 22, 2025. According to a Grimes County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post, “Deputy Travis Hughey has served the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office and citizens of Grimes County with honor, dignity, and respect for 34 years as a true public servant.”
Visitation with family and friends will be held Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Funeral Services to honor Travis’ life will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Grimes County True Blue Foundation, an organization that was close to Travis’ heart.
