The Grimes County Road and Bridge Department has temporarily closed County Road 308 at SH 105. This is due, in part, to hazardous conditions at the railroad crossing, including the pavement condition on each side of the crossing, the steep slope between the crossing and SH 105, and the lack of proper sight visibility for trains that may be approaching the intersection.
Country Road and Bridge Engineer, Jon Steiber talked about the decision at Wednesday’s meeting of Commissioner’s Court.
