The newest K9 unit addition to the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office made his first huge drug bust over the weekend.
Drug dog Hank and his handler Deputy Zackary Pavlock both assisted Navasota Police in a traffic stop near town on Saturday. Officers stopped a car on Blackshear Street for several violations.
Hank was called in, and aided police in finding .18 grams of cocaine, codeine pills, a scale, baggies for drug packaging, and over $1,600 cash.
Taken to jail was 45 year old Kenneth Wilkerson of Navasota, who is facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1, and another Possession of a Controlled Substance PG3 charge.
He was released the next day after posting a $6,000 bond.
