Grimes County Sheriff’s Office promotes three deputies to new positions

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office boasts three more promotions from within.

They announced this weekend the promotions of Guadalupe Santana, who was promoted to Patrol Sergeant, John Jones, promoted to Criminal Investigation Lieutenant, and Michael Briggs promotion to Jail Administrator.

Santana joined the Office in March of this year, previously working in Brazos County as a jailer.

Jones is a 38 year veteran of law enforcement, and has served the last 14 years as an investigator and CSI in Grimes County.

Finally, Briggs, began in 2016 as a jailer in Grimes County, before being promoted to jail sergeant in 2017.
