The Grimes County Tax Office has garnered praises from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. At last week’s meeting of Commissioner’s Court, executive director for the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles Whitney Brewster praised the work of Mary Ann Waters and the entire tax office.
Brewster explained the award and why it was awarded here in grimes County.
“This is a really great opportunity for us to highlight the Grimes county Tax Assessor-Collectors Office and staff are doing. Today, we are here to recognize them for providing exemplary vehicle title and registration transactions here in the county. By going above and beyond in complying with Texas laws, rules and exceeding customer expectations, the Grimes County Tax Office has earned the Silver Level recognition in TXDMV’s Performance quality Recognition Program,” Brewster said. “This well earned achievement is something the county and your residents should be extremely proud of.”
The program judges tax offices on cost savings measures, customer satisfaction and low error rates among other things. Brewster also thanked the county for making her, and the entire DMV’s jobs, a lot easier.
