The Grimes County treasurer has passed away.
According to the report on Friday, Janice Trant passed away at CHI St. Joseph hospital in Grimes County. The 70 year old had been serving in her third term as the county treasurer.
Funeral services are set for this Wednesday, August 12th, beginning at 10 am. There will be a graveside service in the Allen Family Cemetery in Anderson.
No further information has been released.
