After a challenging last year, which saw tons of annual Navasota Grimes County Chamber of Commerce events have to be canceled, one biig event is returning in April!
“We have the wine walk scheduled for April 3rd. At this point we have eight businesses and twelve wineries participating in this wine walk,” said Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce Johnny McNally at the most recent Navasota city council meeting.
He says in addition, they have some “after-hours” events planned, to try and get people to stay in town overnight, and shop local.
Another big events i back this year, in a different month, as the Chamber Awards Banquet is back April 29th. That event was held just before the pandemic began last year, and McNally says, amid the pandemic, they have move the location for it in 2021.
“It will be at 6 pm, at the Grimes County Expo Center, at the Fairgrounds. We have chosen that location, mainly because of COVID restrictions, and even though most of those have been lifted, it gives us an opportunity to spread out, and have more people attend in a safe way. So, we will be having it at the Expo Center this year,” said McNally.
