Groundbreaking for St. Joseph’s New Trauma Unit

September 3, 2014 by Archive

St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan held groundbreaking Wednesday on its $20 million dollar level two trauma center.

Chief Executive Officer Kathy Krusie says the center will be added to the south end of the main tower.

Construction will start this month, with the targeted completion in March 2016.

The former Health 4 All building will be demolished to create new parking to replace space being used for the expansion.

Krusie says since the trauma center was announced last December, it has helped recruit new employees and retain those currently at St. Joseph’s.

Krusie says those who will be working there helped design the facility.
