Headlight violation leads to discovery of weed, North Zulch man’s arrest

August 2, 2021 by Andre Perrard

A violation for purple headlights on Friday night ended with the arrest of a North Zulch man.

The Bryan Police arrest report says an officer spotted a white Dodge Charger on Friday night, on Briarcrest Drive, pull out of a nearby Stripes with the purple headlights.

The officer initiated a stop, and found the driver alongside a female passenger. The officer detected the smell of marijuana, and asked the driver if there was any in the car. After denying there was weed in the car twice, the driver pulled it from the center console and handed it to the officer.

Several drug paraphernalia items were found, but neither the driver nor passenger faced charges for those.

The driver was arrested, and identified as 18 year old Tyler Dawayne Baker of North Zulch. He was charged with Possession of Marijuana under 2 Ounces, and released after posting a $3,000 bond.
