Heavy Rain Responsible For Several Local Vehicle Crashes

January 23, 2024 by Willy1550

The heavy rain over the past couple of days has led to a lot of vehicle crashes in the Brazos Valley, with a majority of Monday’s accidents in Grimes and Washington counties.

Sgt. Justin Ruiz with the Department Of Public Safety says that hydroplaning has been a common factor in many of the crashes.

Ruiz also says you should not use your cruise control when driving in heavy rain. All crashes are still under investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
