Time to shine your boots and break out the pearl snaps Grimes County, this year’s Peewee Western Horse Show’s heading back to the expo center fairgrounds.
The Horse Show’s Donna Spinks tells Navasota News, any youngster from 1-12 can compete in the runs and races for just $5 each, while spectators and parents can enjoy the show free of charge.
Spinks says, the Peewee Show is specifically designed so all kids have a place in the arena, either beside their horse or not.
And speaking of arenas she continues, every kid that competes will receive a moment in the spotlight with an award. Or if the events don’t interest you Spinks reports, there will also be live and silent auctions.
The Peewee Western Show is Saturday at the Grimes County Fairgrounds. There’s no gate fee, and race fees are $5 each.
So if your kids have an itch for competition or if you just want to support the County Horse Show by donating to the auctions, call 936-537-3797 by Wednesday (03/18).
