A Hempstead man faces felony charges for soliciting a minor, and not complying with sex offender registration requirements.
The Waller County Sheriff’s Office says they arrested 44 year old Chaun Edward Prine of Hempstead, after an investigation determined that Prine had communicated online and intended to meet up with a 14 year old girl to engage in sexual activities.
Their investigation also discovered that Prine failed to comply with the requirements of his sex offender registration. He had previously been sentenced for offences that included the sexual assault of a 15 year old child, evading arrest in a motor vehicle, and failure to register as a sex offender.
Prine faces charges of Online Solicitation of a Minor and Failure To Comply with Registration Requirements. He is being held in the Waller County jail on bonds totaling $250,000.
