A Hempstead man was among four people arrested near Hempstead, and accused of two robberies in Bryan.
The first of those incidents happened around 12:10 am Saturday in Bryan, near Northgate, where victims said they were robbed at by four men in a white car. They said two of them were armed with guns, and demanded their cell phones and wallets before they left the area.
The same suspects are accused of robbing another man about one hour later in Williamson Park in Bryan.
After the theft of his cell phone, the victim returned home, notified the police, and officers were able to use the “Find my iPhone” app to trace the phone. The suspects traveled south to Waller County, and once in Hempstead, they were stopped by police.
They were arrested, and identified at 20 year old Thomas Watkins of Hempstead, 19 year old Brian Andrews of Spring, 19 year old Tariq Carter of Houston, who was the driver, and an unidentified juvenile.
The stolen items were recovered, and the three adults were booked in the Brazos County jail, each charged with three counts of Aggravated Robbery, with bonds set for each at $150,000.No word on charges for the juvenile suspect.
No one was injured during the robberies.
