High speed pursuit near Bedias results in flipped Madison County Sheriff’s Office patrol car

A multi-county, high speed chase, that came through Grimes County, resulted in a flipped Madison County Sheriff’s Department vehicle.

According to authorities, no one was injured during the chase, which began in Madison County. The pursuit began, and extended into the Bedias area of Grimes County, before the suspect fled the vehicle on foot. The reason for the start of the chase is unknown currently.

Troopers, search dogs, and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice were out searching for the suspect on Thursday afternoon.

During the chase, a Madison County Sheriff’s Office vehicle flipped over. The deputy inside, however, was checked out and did not have any serious injuries.

Authorities, as of Thursday afternoon, were continuing to search for the suspect in the Bedias area, South of Highway 90 near Bob Mathews Street.

At latest check on Friday afternoon, no further information has been released.
