Highway 105 and FM 1774 project slowed by natural springs

July 11, 2019 by Andre Perrard

If you have been wondering why not much progress has been made at the Highway 105 and FM 1774 construction project, there is an unusual reason for it. Commissioner David Dobyanski spoke to the issue crews have been ahving out there at Wednesday’s meeting of Commissioner’s Court.

“I talked with Chad Bohne with TXDOT in Bryan. He was not aware that it looked like the project had shut down. I said ‘yeah, it does, it looks like it has been shut down for awhile now,'” Dobyanski said. “He did some research into it and found out they are having issues with natural springs on the West side of 1774. They think they have all of that worked out now.”

Dobyanski said the Northern portion of the project should be hopefully completed and opened up by early August.
