A sleepy driver may be to blame for a head-on collision that happened Monday morning on Highway 30 in Grimes County.
According to DPS troopers, it happened around 7 am near County Road 190. Investigators believe a 21 year old woman from Prairie Hill, driving a 2015 Ford Focus, crossed the highway center line, striking a pick up truck driven by a 24 year old man from Iola.
The driver of the pickup from Iola was uninjured. The driver of the Ford Focus was taken to the hospital with facial lacerations and possible neck injuries. Other vehicles were damaged after hitting debris caused by the wreck. No other injuries were reported.
