A three vehicle crash on Highway 105 yesterday claimed one life, sent another to the hospital.
Texas DPS says that crash happened around 9 am Monday morning, when a 2015 Nissan Versa was traveling the wrong way down Highway 105, near County Road 410. The Nisan sideswiped a Ford F-250, then hit a 2014 Volkswagen Passat Head on.
The driver in the Nissan was pronounced deceased at the scene, an was identified as 42 year old Rhoda Nimako of Houston.
The driver in the Volkswagen, 30 year old Peter Klabnik of Belton, was taken to CHI in Bryan with critical injuries.
The driver of the Ford, 19 year old Kelsey Knutson, was not injured.
Navasota Fire and the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene, which shut down the roadway for a few hours.
An investigation is ongoing, and no further information has been released.
