May 16, 2019 by Willy1550

A man from Huntsville has been arrested after “gravely injuring” his child last weekend.

Huntsville Police say that a 2 month old child suffered severe brain trauma caused by being repeatedly shaken violently. After an investigation, HPD said the child’s father was a primary suspect and was arrested this week.

The child is currently being cared for in the Intensive Care Unit of Texas Children’s Hospital and was last reported to be in stable condition. No other further information has been released on the child.

The man arrested is identified as Kenneth Benard Bay. He was charged with Injury to a Child and was booked in the Waller County Jail with bonds totaling $20,000. The charge of Injury to a Child is a first degree felony in Texas, and is punishable by imprisonment for a term ranging from 5 to 99 years and a possible fine not to exceed $10,000.
