According to a Facebook Post from The Texas Department of Transportation-Bryan District, “Beginning December 2, 2024, TxDOT’s contractor will begin widening SH 105 for the addition of turn lanes at selected intersections between SH 6 and CR 412 in Grimes County, Texas. The work is intended to be completed in 2-mile segments and the entire project is anticipated to be complete by August 2026.
The purpose of this near-term improvement project is to enhance safety along the corridor ahead of the future SH 105 Widening project currently under development.
This notice advises the public that there will be alternating lane shifts and shoulder closures going east and west bound depending on which side of the road the contractors will be working on. TxDOT encourages drivers to plan for extra travel time through this area or to seek alternate routes.”
