In-person visitation to resume at Grimes County jail this month

The Grimes County jail is resuming in-person visitation for inmates.

The Sheriff’s Office announced on Tuesday that the in person visitation resumes on Saturday, June 18th. It will start with a very limited, and highly modified schedule.

Women will be allowed visitation from 3 pm to 4 pm on Saturday’s only, with men allowed to visit from 4 pm to 7 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. There is a maximum allowance of 2 visitors at a time, and must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.

You must also be on the inmate’s visitation list prior to scheduling a visit. No exceptions.

Inmate in-person visitation had been suspended since August 1st of last year due to COVID concerns within the jail.
