According to a press release from December 10th from the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office:
“Patrol Deputies were dispatched around 3 pm to the area of Knob Hill Road for a missing child. Deputies, Fire Department personnel, and family members searched the area for the child. A short time later, the child was found unresponsive several hundred yards from the residence in a small drainage pond. Life saving measures were immediately employed by Deputies and Fire Department personnel on location to resuscitate the child.
EMS arrived on location and transported the child to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Navasota for further emergency treatment. Despite lifesaving efforts, the child succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Grimes County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate this incident which is pending autopsy results.”
