Iola ISD will be suspending remote learning for students in two weeks.
According to a release from the district, they had been reviewing data the first is weeks of school and, stated that they found the remote learning approach had not been successful for most students. In response to that, they will be suspending the remote learning on October 16th.
The only exceptions to the rule will be students told to quarantine by the district or health officials, a person who is COVID positive, or students with documented medical concerns.
The district says that if they begin seeing health concerns develop, they will revisit the issue.
In the letter, it says that all Iola ISD students will be in the classroom for face-to-face instruction beginning on Monday, October 19th. Students may also return to the in-person learning before then, should they choose.
The district says that for any concerned parents, you can contact the district, and they will discuss the matter further.
