Iola man accused of mass shooting pens letter demanding dismissal of murder charge, among other things

September 7, 2022 by Willy1550

The first trial date has come and gone of the Grimes County man charged with the mass shooting at Kent Moore Cabinets in Bryan last year.

While a new trial date has not been set, 28 year old Larry Bollin has filed a letter demanding that the trial judge dismiss a murder charge.

The nine page document includes an explanation behind his mother telling county commissioners last week that her son fired three lawyers because “they were all corrupt”. Quoting Larry Bollin’s letter, “All of your members of your bar guild oath takers are traitors and are subservient to the British crown, and show no allegiance to the Americans”.

The document was filed about three months after the trial judge granted a motion for Bollin to undergo a psychological evaluation, which he opposed.

Bollin remains jailed in lieu of bonds totaling $5,200,000 on multiple charges in Brazos County, as well as an Attempted Capital Murder charge in Grimes County.
