Iola man faces terroristic threat charges for saying he would burn down girlfriends residence

December 5, 2022 by Willy1550

An Iola man is in jail on numerous charges after allegedly punching the windshield in his girlfriends car, and threatening to burn their home down.

The Brazos County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 5000 block of Sagewood Drive in College Station early Saturday morning. Officers spoke with the man’s girlfriend of five months, with whom he lived, and she said the two went to a friends house after going to The Cowboy bar.

There, 39 year old Chad Andrew Slaughter of Iola became verbally aggressive toward another male, and threatened to assault him. Both were asked to leave, and Slaughter punched the windshield in anger as the two drove home. He then threatened to burn down their Sagewood Drive residence.

Slaughter faces charges of Terroristic Threat of Family, and Criminal Mischief between $100 and $750 for breaking the windshield.

He remains in jail on bonds totaling $7,000.
