Iola man facing public intoxication plus burglary charges for stealing sunglasses and demanding to be run over

March 16, 2023 by Willy1550

An Iola man is in jail for the 17th time after standing on top of a postal worker truck demanding to be run over, and burglarizing vehicles in a College Station neighborhood.

CSPD responded to the call from the mailman Wednesday morning, who said the male was sitting in the middle of the road, after standing on top of his truck. Officers found 42 year old William Eric Tisdale unable to focus and explain his intentions.

He admitted to smoking meth and marijuana earlier in the morning, and a search of his person found cash and sunglasses, which had been burglarized from a car up the same street.

Tisdale was taken to jail on charges of Public Intoxication and Burglary of Vehicles. He remains there on a $5,300 bond.
