March 8, 2023 by Willy1550

An Iola man seen tugging on door handles in a Bryan gas station lot is eventually arrested on drug possession charges for the third time since 2017.

BPD’s report says they spoke with the assistant manager of the Stripes on Highway 6 Friday night, who pointed her toward a man and woman in a maroon Subaru.

The report says upon speaking with 40 year old Nicholas Lazarus Long of Iola, he slurred his words, and believed he was in Navasota. The manager of the store also said he had attempted purchasing cigarettes, but was too disoriented to do so.

A search of the vehicle yielded a small bit of Xanax, meth, a few syringes, and other drug paraphernalia.

Long faces two controlled substance charges, and remains in jail on bonds totaling $10,000. He was also previously sentenced to 4 years probation this year for Evading Arrest in 2021.

The driver of the car, 19 year old Freedom Camille Hollowell of Bryan, also faces a controlled substance charges, ad is in jail.
