A train versus tractor collision yesterday near Iola resulted in an Iola man being killed.
That happened around 4 pm at FM 39 and County Road 169. Texas DPS has also identified the victim as 77 year old Charles McDuffie of Iola. The preliminary report from DPS says McDuffie failed to yield the right of way to the BNSF train, and passed away on scene.
The crash is still under investigation.
