Iola man yelling racial slurs at Post Oak Mall eventually tased and arrested on meth charges

August 11, 2022 by Andre Perrard

An Iola man is in jail for the 5th time since last year, this time for drug charges, plus allegedly yelling racial slurs in a mall parking lot.

College Station Police says they arrived at Post Oak Mall on Wednesday afternoon for the calls of a man punching vehicles, and yelling a racial slur at one individual.

Officers caught up with 30 year old Johnathan Garrett Compian of Iola inside the mall, where he resisted officers attempts to detain him. He stated, according to the report, “you know who I am,” and threatened to assault the officers.

Compian, who had multiple knives in his waistband, was tasered and arrested.

On his person, officers found two meth pipes.

Compian is in the Brazos County jail, where he faces charges of Possession of a Controlled Subtance, Interference with Public Duties, and Offensive Language. He remains on bonds totaling $7,000.
