A building set to be auctioned off on Tuesday in Navasota caught fire on Monday night.
Around 8 pm, a fire was reported in the 1200 block of La Salle, at the building of the old Jones Funeral Home.
According to authorities, the building has not been in use for years.
It was scheduled to be auctioned off this afternoon (Tuesday) after the owner fell behind on property taxes.
Navasota Fire responded alongside College Station Fire and the South Brazos County Volunteer Fire Department.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and no injuries have been reported.
