Judge Leman Says Make The Best Of The Toll Road

March 18, 2015 by Willy1550

As the shadow of the looming 249 toll road continues to grow, Grimes County Judge Ben Leman tells Navasota News, he thinks it’s time to make the best of an undesirable situation.

And with an extra two million dollars that’s coming from TxDot, he continues, Grimes County could finally gain some benefit from the impending project.

Although he is opposed to the toll road, Leman says he believes the road will eventually be built with, or without the county’s support. And unless feeders or access ramps are included, it would prove to be a hindrance to local residents.

But if that road includes feeders running alongside local high paying businesses, he contends, could help increase our local median income.

And to land owners who are worried about their properties being devalued, Leman predicts, the feeder roads will allow for commercial or residential development, actually making your land more valuable than it would be without it.
