Navasota High School’s all-time top scoring girls basketball player will be attending Blinn College on a basketball scholarship after graduation next month.
Ke’aundra Eddings will be the 5th Girl in Blue to take this path, and Blinn’s head women’s basketball coach says he likes any player who’s played for Coach Gates.
And although he admits watching the five-foot-five-inch guard since she was a freshman, Jeff Jenkins says he doesn’t begin recruiting students until their senior year. He also admits that anytime he has a chance for someone who has played for Coach Gates, he’ll go after ’em.
Especially when that kid is also first in Steals and Three Point Shots made. Eddings says Coach Jenkins and his staff were part of the reason she picked Blinn over other schools who were after her.
Eddings and her fellow Navasota High School Class of 2018 classmates receive their diplomas Friday night, June the first in Rattler Stadium. Coach Jenkins says she’ll then be checking-in with him in August before they get to it September the first.
