Kennedale teen arrested in Navasota with over a pound of weed and psychedelic mushrooms

November 30, 2022 by Willy1550

A Dallas area teen was arrested by Navasota Police last weekend when a traffic stop yielded multiple drugs.

NPD stopped the car in the 2200 block of North La Salle on Sunday night, and immediately smelled marijuana.

Inside the vehicle, officers uncovered over one pound of marijuana, over 100 grams of psychedelic mushroom chocolate bars, and distribution packaging.

The passenger, 18 year old Paul Dunkor of Kennedale, claimed ownership, and faces two felony charges of Possession of a Controlled Subtance, and Possession of Marijuana.

The driver, 19 year old Quarnia Hewitt of Mansfield, was cited for Minor in Possession of Alcohol, and released.

The report did not specify why the vehicle was initially stopped.
