Navasota Kickstart Kids continue to grow and expand their talents.
The Navasota Jr High Kickstart Kids on Tuesday will be performing during halftime of the A&M basketball game at Reed Arena. Master Benjamin Mendez explained what they will be doing that night.
“My performance team has put together a show and we are going to be the halftime entertainment for the Texas men’s basketball game…the game starts at 6 pm and once halftime starts, we will be out there just doing out thing,” said Mendez.
Master Mendez says it is an honor to perform at the A&M game and the demonstration team has another big event coming up in May
“Our demonstration team is a chance for kids to showcase their talents above and beyond what they do in the classroom. We have something called ‘Martial Arts Mania’ that we compete in every year. We compete in the Central Texas district this year. So, we took 40 kids with us to Pflugerville…they did very good in that competition,” said Mendez. “But, our ultimate goal is on May the fourth, we have the Chuck Norris 5K fun run coming up. It is going to start and finish at the George Bush Library, and we will be performing there as well. Looking forward to the big crowd and having a good time out there.”
