A child taken from a Houston apartment by their babysitter was found safe in Brenham last week.
Houston Police say a 9 year old boy was taken from an apartment complex on Forum West Drive last Wednesday night. Investigators were able to track the suspects phone to Washington County. Deputies in Washington County learned of the kidnaping and suspect around 2 am. About 45 minutes later, deputies stopped a car on Old Independence Road, and found the child safely.
The suspect, identified as Madison Paige Ling, was the driver, along with a man who is not thought to be involved in the kidnapping.
The child was taken home by HPD. Ling was arrested, and charged with Kidnapping. She is expected to make her first court appearances this week.
