Thanks to ongoing local support despite having to deal with the station’s current local signal woes, the 54th Navasota Kiwanis Radio Auction came off with surprisingly few glitches last Thursday.
The Kiwanis’ Bert Miller reports that although the evening had its ups and downs, in the end, it was once again a complete success.
Miller tells Navasota News the Kiwanis use the funds to continue in the group’s various causes, such as supporting local Boy Scout Troop 361, funding yearly scholarships and generally just trying to help the youth in the Navasota community.
And besides supporting the group’s ongoing efforts, he continues, the yearly Kiwanis Radio Auction provides a benefit for the businesses pledging items as well.
Miller adds the Kiwanis can still use a few more members to aid in its various causes, adding if this sounds good to you, you can come to the group’s weekly meetings at Noon every Wednesday at the Wrangler Steakhouse to see what’s coming up. For more information, call Miller at 936-825-6789
