We’ve said it once, but we mean it this time: the water main replacement project at La Salle and Washington Avenue in Navasota is just about complete.
“Today [Monday] they had finished installing the fire hydrant on Railroad Street. We opened North La Salle Street today, just before noon. So, that is back open,” said utilities director Jennifer Reyna speaking at last night’s city council meeting. “Tomorrow, we begin a punch list with the contractor, and make sure it is all complete. But, as far as everything on the items, everything is completed.”
As for what exactly is left to finish?
“Clean everything up, put some asphalt back down in some spots on Washington Avenue…then we should be complete with this downtown water main replacement project,” said Reyna.
She says too that TXDOT will be coming to repave North La Salle soon, but did not give a specific time frame.
