Lake Somerville increasing campsite fees for first time since 2014

January 30, 2023 by Willy1550

Camping fees out at Lake Somerville will see an increase later this year.

Officials with the Ft. Worth District Army Corps of Engineers announced this week that the increase in fees will take place effective April 1st in Rocky Creek and Yegua Creek Parks.

The 50-amp campsites, currently $28 per night, will increase to $30 per night. The 30-amp campsites in Rocky Creek will go up to $26 per night year round, and the Yegua Creek Park sites will stay the same at $20 per night.

There is also no longer a reduction in price during the winter season. They did say any reservations made before April 1st will not be impacted by this change.

The last fee increase at the Lake Somerville campgrounds was in 2014.

More information can be found by contacting the lake office at 979-596-1622.
