A brand new Lamborghini model was one of the more than 50 of the famous race cars that screamed up grimes county’s back roads last weekend, to display themselves around Navasota City Hall.
Marketing Director Corey Johnson tells Navasota News, Lamborghini Houston had recently received the latest edition to the racecar family “The Hurricane” and used the festival as a platform to promote it.
Around a thousand people joined in the two-hour festival, Johnson continues, and it might have all been due to one city official who was in the right place at the right time.
Sarah Korpita, he says walked up to a few people who were looking for a place that could hold the event along their route.
Also at the rally was a Lamborghini test driver, signing autographs and Johnson explains the driver started out at the bottom of the company, and now gets to test and help tweak every vehicle that they produce.
Johnson says Houston Lamborghini was very pleased with Navasota, getting more attendance both in the number of cars and visitors than they expected.
And he continues, it’s events like this are a win-win situation. They are fairly cheap for sponsors to hold and more ways to bring not just money, but hopefully some new neighbors to the city.
