More legal action has been filed against the company waning to build a high speed rail between Dallas and Houston.
Attorneys representing 93 landowners across nine counties, including here in Grimes, sent a letter Thursday to Texas Central. Among the 20 questions asked in the filing are the status of the project, start date of construction, how bills are paid, and who is running the company.
The representatives of the landowners filed a “Rule 202 Deposition,” against Texas Central, which in short, is a way to get Texas Central to state their definite plans under oath.
The letter follows up a Supreme Court filing from April that Texas Central is over $600,000 behind in property taxes across nine counties, including $145,000 in Grimes County.
CEO Carlos Aguilar stepped down over the summer, and no posts have been made on the Texas Central Facebook page since March.
Texas Central has made no comment on the property taxes, nor have they released a statement regarding the newest legal motion.
