The high speed passenger train between Houston and Dallas is facing another lawsuit from opponents.
Landowners from Normangee and Plantersville, plus others from Grimes, Madison, and Leon counties are among those suing the Federal Railroad Administration and the U.S. department of transportation. The landowners cite the environmental impact as the cause of the lawsuit.
The Texas Central project is still awaiting approval from the federal agency that regulates railroads.
Texas Central is not named in the lawsuit.
