City of Navasota issues boil water notice after large water main break

February 11, 2021 by Andre Perrard

The City of Navasota has issued a boil water notice for the town, after a large main was damaged Thursday afternoon.

According to the city, contractors working at the intersection of Railroad Street and Johnson Street damaged a large water main, and that is resulting in low water pressure in many locations throughout the city.

For some, there is no water service at the moment.

They ask that you bring the water to a rolling boil, and then boil for 2 minutes before using. Using bottled water is an alternative to boiling water.

Crews are working to restore the service as quickly as they can.

The city apologizes for any inconvenience.

We will update this story as we find out more information.
