Although all the slots at next week’s Bob Whitten Memorial Golf Tourney are already sewn up, the chamber’s executive director says there are still several ways for you to take part in the tourney’s second-ever day and nighttime event.
And Johnny McNally says that once again, that participation can cost you as little as a ten-spot, which can, and has resulted in a hundred-fold return. During the break between the day and evening play, he explains, purchased balls will be dropped from a helicopter hovering over one of the holes. The one that ends up closest to the pin will win a thousand dollars.
One ball will cost you $10, McNally goes on, adding that last year’s $1,000 winner was Janet Green of Bedias, who only bought one.
McNally tells Navasota News there’s still time for you to purchase your balls, or even become a sponsor online, navasotagrimeschamber.com. Then come Shoot for the Moon at Pecan Lakes on Friday, October 13th.
