Texas Department of State Health Services has confirmed 6 new cases of COVID-19 in Grimes County, with 5 of them being in the Navasota City Limits.
According to the press release, the first patient is a male in his 50s, who is not hospitalized. The second patient is a female in her 30s, with hospitalization unknown. The third patient is a minor, with hospitalization unknown. The fourth patient is a male in his 40s who is not hospitalized. The fifth patient is a minor, with hospitalization also unknown. Exposure for all five of those patients is unknown and they all reside in the Navasota city limits.
The sixth patient is identified as a minor, with their hospitalization unknown. This patient resides elsewhere in the county, with exposure unknown.
Excluding the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) numbers at the Wallace Pack Unit, the latest update from DSHS has Grimes County at 57 total cases, 22 in the city of Navasota, with 17 recoveries. The number of hospitalizations is unknown.
