Local Church Closer To Paying Off It’s Debt

August 23, 2016 by Willy1550

Thanks to the turnout at its recent garage sale, the Pastor of Navasota’s New Hope Church says it’s able to retire about half of its property dept.

The church building is bought and paid for, says Pastor-Realtor Max Brand. And they’ve made great strides paying off the rest of the debt with the help of a generous congregation at several fundraisers.

And while the money is appreciated, Brand tells Navasota News, it wasn’t the only thing the church got out of the event, as some shoppers turned into parishioners the following Sunday.

For now, he continues, the church will hold-off on any further fundraising efforts until next summer.

The pastor says the church will host a homecoming among a few other big events later on, and as those dates near, you’ll hear about ‘em on our Navasota News Community Calendar.
