Saturday, May 6th, was Election Day and there were 6 combined items on the ballot in Grimes County.
The Anderson-Shiro CISD bond failed to pass with 57.42% of voters voting no to the school bond.
The Town of Anderson’s Proposition A passed with 84.38% voting yes.
In Navasota, Mayor Bert Miller was unopposed and was reelected for City Council, Position 4.
City Council, Position 5 saw James D. Harris defeat Patty Tokoly with 73.85% of the votes.
For Navasota ISD Trustee, Position 4, Tim J. Harris was unopposed and won his seat.
And in the race for NISD Trustee, Position 5, Amy S. Jarvis defeated Mark Gremillion with 75.57% of the vote.
