A chase in Navasota yesterday has opened a manhunt for a local fugitive.
NPD says they spotted 31 year old Darrell Herman of Navasota driving in the 300 block of East Washington. Herman is wanted for possession of a controlled substance and another warrant in Brazos County. When they tried stopping Hermann, he drove away, taking officers on a chase out of the city limits, down FM 3090, to County Road 403. Officers lost Hermann, but found the vehicle abandoned later in the day on CR 403.
The search stopped after 3 pm Thursday.
Additional charges are coming against Herman, which include Evading Arrest on Foot, and by Vehicle, plus Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
