Local Woman Accused Of Nurse Assault

February 2, 2016 by Willy1550

A 29-year-old Navasota woman is back on the street after being arrested last Tuesday, for attacking several nurses and staff at the CHI St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.

Bryan Police Department’s Kelly McKethan tells Navasota News Roxanne Morales was dropped off at the hospital by some friends, because she had been drinking.

According to the police report, hospital staff claim Morales could not stand on her own and had to be carried in. And it continues the trouble started when staff tried to get her into a hospital gown.

And it was because of Morales’ actions, McKethan alleges that two of the hospital staff received light injuries.

When police arrived, she continues, officers were able to calm her down and waited until after the hospital finished treating her to arrest her.

Morales has since bonded out of jail on the four charges facing her: two 3rd degree felony charges and two misdemeanors. If convicted, she could face up to 20 years behind bars and up to $10,000 in fines.
