Madison County Sheriff’s Office issues warning about solicitors

March 24, 2020 by Willy1550

Authorities in Madison County are warning residents about solicitors amid the COVID-19 crisis.

A post on the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page says that solicitors are going door to door trying to sell cleaners and sanitizers. They say it is a group of four from Illinois, travelling in a white Ford Van.

The Sheriff’s Office added that they do not have the required paperwork from the City of Madisonville or Madison County to be soliciting.

The Sheriff’s Office asks that people do not answer the door for these individuals.

If you see any suspicious activity, you are encouraged to contact the Madison County Sheriff’s Office at 936-348-2755.
