June 3, 2021 by Willy1550

That, according to the deputy’s arrest report, is when the deputy turned on  his emergency lights, and began pursuit. Moments later, the speeding car was found wrecked and in a ditch. Another vehicle was located about 200 yards away.

The driver in the speeding car received slight discomfort to the face from striking the airbag, and said he did not see the emergency flashing lights. Two individuals in the other car involved were checked out by EMT’s, and refused treatment or transport.

Found in the speeding car was seven baggies of marijuana, which combined weighed one ounce. The driver was arrested, and identified as 26 year old Ladarius Merchant of Madisonville.

Merchant has since been released from jail after posting a $3,000 bond, and promising to make future court appearances.
