One person was killed, with five injured, after a plane crash in Madisonville.
That happened around 1 am Monday, according to the National Transportation Safety Board, who arrived on scene Monday afternoon. Authorities confirmed one person, not identified yet, was killed when the single engine plane landed short of the runway.
The five others injured were flown to nearby hospitals via helicopter. One person was reportedly trapped inside the aircraft, and not freed until around 5:30 am. All injured passengers, at last check, were in critical condition.
